Stryker's Restoration Services started in 1982 when owner Mark Stryker opened his business as Antique Auto Wood in Auburn, Indiana. The business started primarily doing coach work and restoration on classic automobiles. By 1987, they expanded in a joint venture with Custom Auto Wood, owned by Mike Couture, in the design, development and production of exclusive veneered Limo cabinets for the oldest armor plate limo company in the world. They produced many designs that are in Head of State armored limo's around the world.
In 2003, a decision was made to no longer do coachwork as the demand had dwindled due to the rising popularity of the muscle car era. So something he had been doing all along for himself and favors to others was, "other restoration work." He and his wife Donna decided to rename the business and start new as Stryker's Restoration Services. They began in a 1500 sq. ft building in Fort Wayne, IN. Business quickly took off to include gas pumps, soda machines, vintage and antique kitchen appliances, antique machinery, automotive items, Shriner model T cars, custom soda bars, soda fountains and the list goes on. Mark and Donna were doing the work themselves , stripping, blasting, fabricating, painting, etc. They needed help to keep up with demand.
About 2011, they became the recommended restorer by the Hamilton Beach company for restoration of their vintage milkshake mixers. Since then they restore anything vintage Hamilton Beach. They also have restored the very first KitchenAid mixer, a model H5, along with the original roll top cabinet and all the accessories for one of their serious kitchen appliance collector's.
In 2013, Mark and Donna moved to their new location with 6000 sq. ft. and added Bob Harmon for tear down, blasting, blasting, prep, and to help keep them focused. They then added Paul Coolidge to the team to take care of procurement, purchasing, sales and marketing, along with assisting with the restoration process.
Now that you know what we're about, let us help you with your special restoration needs.
Sincerely,
Mark and Donna Stryker
